Getting to Know Allison Nazarian
Topic: Author Interview

Allison Nazarian the person:

1.  What three words do you think describe you as a human being?

Driven, perfectionist, inner-peace-seeking (the last one is three words I made into one )

 2.  How do you think others would describe you?

A rock, insightful, workaholic

3.  Please tell us what you are most passionate about outside of writing.

Writing is the core of what I do but it is really the business aspect - building the business, developing new ideas and products, etc. - is really what drives me. On a personal level, I am passionate about my two kids (ages 8 and 10) and about trying to apply new principles to my life.

4.  Do you have any pets?  If so, introduce us to them.

N/A

5.  What is your most precious memory?

My childhood as a whole was very happy and innocent.

6.  What is your most embarrassing memory?

Oh boy, I have probably blocked out the most embarrassing one. A couple that come to mind include leaving a public restroom and not properly adjusting all of the clothing that needed to be adjusted prior to such an exit.

7.  If you weren't a writer, what would you be doing with your life?

Something more logical and sensible, like accounting or law.

8.  In two paragraphs or less write your obituary.

Strived every day to be the best mother, friend, daughter, granddaughter and business owner. Some days she fell short, other days she made others' lives more interesting, fun and inspiring.

Allison Nazarian the writer:

9.   Can you describe the time you realized you were indeed a "real" writer?

The day I realized through a QuickBooks report that I had reached and surpassed the original financial goal I had set for myself.

10.  What is going on with your writing these days?

I am building and basing a business on writing. Not on freelance, creative or "on-the-side" writing, but writing as a viable basis for a business.

11.  What are your future goals for your writing?

To offer more product-based expertise (books, CDs, e-mail courses, etc.) and make it accessible to business people of all budgets and marketing experience levels.

12.  Can you describe a typical writing day for you?

These days much of the actual writing work is delegated to my team of writers, people who dream of "writing all day long." My goal is to serve clients, to see their businesses grow through our work and to be a constant source of great projects for these writers.

13.  Why do you write?

I never had a choice, this is what I always had/needed to do.

14.  What writer most inspires you?  Why?

The pursuit of excellence and learning something new every single day. I believe no one of us is EVER done learning and bettering ourselves.

15.  How do you define your writing?

Real, straightforward, honest, inspiring.

16.  In one sentence-what do you want people to say about your writing in fifty years?

That it was real, straightforward, honest and inspiring...and that they remembered something I wrote, that it "spoke" to them, and somehow changed even a little part of their life for the better.

Allison Nazarian the details:

17.  Can you tell us where to find more information on you? Website?  Blog?

Website: http://www.getitinwriting.biz/

and Blog: www.GetItInWriting.biz/blog.

You can read more and download my two e-books through the website and access free tips and reports there as well. I'm always looking to learn what your marketing and writing challenges are in business - let me know and I will write a guide just for you!

18.  Is there a place where readers can reach you?

Through the website you can always email me with questions or for more information.

19.  Can you list all your book titles so people can look for them?

Copywriting 101 for Small Businesses, Entrepreneurs, Coaches & Consultants

52 Insider Secrets To Jumpstarting Your Marketing Efforts Now

20.  For new readers-what can they expect when they read your book(s)?

I'm very big on giving business people tangible, easily implementable DIY (do it yourself) ways of copywriting for their business and marketing their products/services in general.

In conclusion:

21.  Take as much space as necessary to speak to our readers-what would you like them to know about you and your writing?

I'm not so vain to think I have an enormous amount of information to share with the world and make a great difference the world over. That said, I do have great expertise in my industry - copywriting and marketing - and know that this information, when implemented properly, can be very helpful and highly valuable to people in business. Once I write enough of these, I will write more personal books for working moms and to tell the world about my grandmother, a true hero.
