Trockle Has Arrived!!!!
Topic: Blog Tours

I am so pleased to tell everyone about the wonderful guests who will be visiting us over the next few days.  I'll introduce you in a moment to Trockle, a wonderful book written by Holly Janhangiri and illustrated by Jordan Vinyard.  I was fortunate that not only did Holly and Jordan stop by to talk with me, but so did Trockle and Stephen, he main characters in this delightful tale.  Please stop by each day over the next three days as I speak with these lovely people (and monster!).

Stephen doesn’t like to go to bed because he knows a monster is underneath. Even when told that Monster Repellent was sprayed under the bed, he knows it didn’t work.

Under the bed, Trockle doesn’t want to go to sleep because he’s afraid of the huge monster above.

Stephen’s parents and Trockle’s mom try to help their children no longer be afraid.

Please come back tomorrow as I talk with Trockle and Stephen!!! They are such delightful little ones!

In the meantime, when you leave here, I'd love to have you visit The Book Views, http://thebookviews.blogspot.com/ where my good friend Lacresha Hayes interviewed me.  All those who comment have a chance to win copies of both her book, The Rape of Innocence and mine, Storm!

Finally!I have been anxiously awaiting this. All I had in my head last night was Trockle. This promises to be a most interesting read. I've always wanted to know what the name of the monster under the bed was. Trockles live under beds I see. It will be nice to finally meet one and not have it scare me at night.

Thank you, Joyce for posting a delightful introduction to Trockle.  I'll be keeping an eye on things for Vivian while she is attending a conference today.  I'll try to stop by and post comments throughout the day.  If I don't get here too often, I am sure Holly will make an appearance as much as she can and Jordan will probably join us later.  I look forward to the interview with Stephen and Trockle and all the other things you have planned for us.

Again, thank you for hosting Trockle and Holly and Jordan.  See you in the postings - E :)

Hi,

I'm on my way out the door and had to stop by and say hello.

Thank you, Joyce for inviting us to visit. I'll be back later tonight.

Good morning, everyone!

Yes, Ron, now we know - his name is Trockle. He told me so! The little monster crept in while I was writing Stephen's story (really, my son William's story, but we agreed it might be better NOT to name the character after him); Trockle peeked over my shoulder and insisted on equal time, and the opportunity to tell HIS side of things. He just laughed and laughed at the notion that WE thought HE was so scary.

And now, on day 6 of the tour, he's starting to strut like a rock star. We're going to have to lift "Stephen's" bed up off the floor a few feet, just to accommodate Trockle's little orange head.

Joyce,

Thank you so much for the delightful introduction.

Between both stops on the blog tour today Stephen and Trockle are becoming quite popular!!!

Can't wait to see more on this site about Trockle.

And LMHO @ Holly for saying Trockle is starting to strut around like a rock star! I have this image of him now, wearing oversized, one-lens sunglasses! 8-D

Rena that is too funny - 8D vision - kind of like super fly? - but I'm not sure I would want to see something in eight dimensions.  And can you imagine what 8D humans must look like to Trockle?  Scary, even scarier than they did before - lol

Thanks for stopping by - E :)

Aww, gee, Ms. Joyce. I was just saying over on Ms. Susan's blog what a nice lady you are, and how you made me feel all growed up when you interviewed me.

What did Stephen say about me? I'll bet he didn't admit to being scared of me at all, did he? Well, I'm not ashamed to admit it - I was TERRIFIED of him. Big ol' smelly BOY! We're friends, now. I can say that. He calls me Basketball-Head, sometimes. Once I drew lines on my head with a Sharpie marker to fool him into thinking I was a REAL basketball, and curled up in his baseball glove. He tossed me clear down the hall and I rolled down the stairs!! That was FUNNY!! He was really upset, until he realized I was laughing. Mom didn't think it was so funny, though. It took weeks to get that marker off my face!

Well, hello Trockle :-)  You are definitely a Sweetie!!!  You did wonderfully on your interview.  I won't tell you what Steven said--you'll have to come back tomorrow--but I will tell you a secret...shhh...you and he are not very different!!

Oh, Trockle, you are such a cutie. I can't wait to give you a hug. Uh, now you be careful not to get a big head over all this publicity.

Thanks everyone for visiting, and Joyce for hosting for four days. I'm anxious to see what else you have for us.

Yes, I'm home. I'll explain later for those who wish to know.

Joyce,

We need your help before the end of the evening to choose a winner of the Trockle tote bag.

Do you want to find a way to "draw" a name, or do you want me to do it, or do you want to give me a number for the winner (I'll then count the comments without including the non-eligible people)?

Oh, Trockle, you are just too cute...please let me virtually pinch your cheeks.

Holly and Trockle, you are doing an incredible job!

The winner of today's tote bag on Joyce's blog is Dana (need to know if this is the Dana from Oklahoma, though).

Please, from now on, folks, leave an email with your comments. If I happen to recognize a name or person, that's fine, but I'm not always sure.

Yeah!!  Yippee!!  Yes, it's me...the Dana from Oklahoma.  Thank you so much!!  I didn't mean to campaign for it on a previous blog, but I was feeling a little pressure from Brianna *smile*.  See everyone tommorrow.  Nite-nite!

I really liked your comments about Trockle.  It is such a delightful book with lots of surprises with the developing relationship between Stephen and Trockle.
